Franchise leads Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson are confirmed to reprise their roles in the upcoming Hunger Games film, Sunrise on the Reaping.
It has been confirmed that beloved stars Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson are set to appear once again in the newest chapter of the Hunger Games film series, titled The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping. The project is now in the works.
An Important Comeback for the Franchise
The duo are returning as Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark, the characters they made famous. It is believed their roles will likely occur in a brief glimpse ahead, as the original saga concluded with their characters married and with children.
This represents the sixth cinematic outing in the highly successful Hunger Games franchise.

Sunrise on the Reaping is adapted from a recent book by series creator Suzanne Collins. It acts as the follow-up prequel after 2023's The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes. For this project is Francis Lawrence, who has helmed the majority of the previous films in the series.

The film's events are set roughly two decades prior to the first Hunger Games, focusing on a young Haymitch Abernathy. Haymitch, later known as Katniss's mentor, is featured as a tribute in the deadly 50th Hunger Games.

- Ralph Fiennes will appear as a earlier incarnation of the calculating President Snow.
