Eulogies Pour In for the Reiners as Medical Examiner's Findings Remain Under Wraps.

More than two weeks subsequent to the heartbreaking passing of esteemed filmmaker Rob Reiner and his wife, photographer Michele Reiner, friends and colleagues persist in remembering the duo.

A Heartfelt Farewell: Cary Elwes Remembers His Director

Sharing on Instagram, actor Cary Elwes, who starred in Reiner's 1987 classic *The Princess Bride*, mentioned he finally felt prepared to share openly about his profound loss.

"Sufficient time has gone by that I can now put my grief into words," posted Elwes, saying that his initial encounter with Reiner created an instant bond. "When we commenced passing more hours together I knew this was someone I wanted in my life."

The actor uploaded behind-the-scenes footage from the movie, adding that he could not remember "one day without laughter".

"This story is about affection, allegiance and giving. Principles that Rob valued immensely. That is part of the many reasons he was the perfect person to helm it," Elwes expressed.

He also paid tribute Michele Reiner, noting: "Asserting that they were a great team would be an oversimplification. My heart still aches every time I remember you." He finished with a line from *The Princess Bride*: "Sure, death cannot stop true love but existence is agony without you."

Martin Scorsese Remembers a Friend and Collaborator

In a distinct essay, acclaimed director Martin Scorsese paid homage to Reiner, whom he initially encountered in the 1970s.

"From the start, I loved hanging out with Rob. We had a natural affinity for each other. He was uproarious and sometimes sharply witty, but he was never the kind of guy who would take over the room," Scorsese wrote.

Scorsese mentioned Reiner's acting part in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, portraying the father of the protagonist.

"His improvisation skills with the best. He was a virtuoso at comedy, he worked beautifully with the cast, and he grasped the personal struggle of his character," Scorsese noted.

Legal Developments: Autopsy Reports Sealed

Recently, a Los Angeles court official ruled to block the release of the Reiners' post-mortem findings, at the request from the LAPD.

A judicial mandate placed a security hold on the investigation to limit the public release of "related notes, notes, reports or photos" associated with the active case.

The Medical Examiner's office had previously confirmed their deaths were the consequence of foul play, with a official listing citing the cause as "wounds from an edged weapon".

Fallout and Commentary

In the wake of the deaths, public individuals shared varying comments.

Ex-President Donald Trump wrote on the matter, offering divisive remarks that were met with immediate backlash by many individuals.

Podcaster Joe Rogan lent his perspective to the critics last week. Speaking on his program, Rogan characterized the remarks as "disappointing" and remarked they revealed a concerning deficiency of sympathy.

Rogan finished by suggesting that an associate should have stepped in when the choice to weigh in on the passing was made.
