On Monday, the tribunal heard communication data and information obtained from phones recorded Ms Wandelt repeatedly demanding Madeleine's mother for a DNA test throughout the past two years.

Madeleine's disappearance in 2007 - at the age of three during a vacation in Portugal - is considered the most covered child disappearance cases and is still open.

'I Don't Want Money'

One phone message, played in court, captured Ms Wandelt stating: "I realize I'm overweight and unattractive like Madeleine used to be, but I feel what I feel."

While another instance of Ms Wandelt's recordings with Mrs McCann's answerphone expressed: "What if there is a small chance that I am she? What then? Is that not crucial for you?"

"I am not seeking money, I have a existence here in Poland, I just want to know," the message continued.

The panel was told that through electronic messages, mobile messages and calls, Ms Wandelt demanded a DNA test, sent youth pictures to her phone in a bid to display a similarity to Mrs McCann's vanished daughter, and stated to have "flashbacks" from a youth with the McCanns.

The investigator, an investigator with Leicestershire Police who gathered the data, told the court there "showed no any responses" from Mrs McCann.

Ms Wandelt furthermore reached out to close associates of the McCanns, based on the communication logs.

On October 9th, 2024, Mr McCann answered a communication from Ms Wandelt to his wife's phone, saying she had "incorrect contact information."

During that incident Ms Wandelt left a message on Mrs McCann's answerphone declaring "I will continue and I will prove my point."

The court was informed Mrs Spragg established a relationship through digital means with Ms Wandelt before accompanying her on a trip to the McCanns' residence in that area in last December.

Communication data showed Mrs Spragg had contacted via messaging service to Mrs McCann to say the news outlets had depicted Ms Wandelt as "a crazy person" but that she deserved to be considered genuine in the months leading up to the appearance to Rothley, that area, in that winter.

The court heard correspondence between the two individuals, in that autumn, considering trying to get Mrs McCann's DNA samples from her bins or from cutlery at a eating establishment.

"We need to assert ourselves," Mrs Spragg told Ms Wandelt.

On the night of the visit to their home, Mrs Spragg transmitted a text which stated: "We're currently sitting outside the McCanns' residence with our vehicle dark resembling investigators. I wanted to accomplish this with Peter Andrew I didn't imagine I would be engaged in this with the McCanns."

The trial continues.
